ANA TOSTÕES

 

Ana Tostões, PhD is an architect, architecture critic and historian, and is president of Docomomo International and Editor of the Docomomo Journal. She is a Full Professor at Técnico, University of Lisbon, where she teaches Theory of Architecture and Critical History, and coordinates the Architectonic Culture research group. Since 2012, she has been in charge of the Architectural PhD programme. She has been invited professor at universities worldwide.

​CARLOS DIAS COMAS

 

Carlos Eduardo Dias Comas studied architecture in Porto Alegre (bachelor of architecture, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul), Philadelphia (master of architecture and urban planning, University of Pennsylvania) and Paris (doctorate in architecture, Université de Paris VIII). Lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, coordinator of events and publications of the Research and Postgraduate Program in Architecture (PROPAR-UFRGS) and editor of ARQTEXTO magazine.

LOUISE NOELLE GRAS

 

Architectural Historian, researcher at the National University of Mexico. Member of CICA, the Mexican Arts Academy, 1991, ICOMOS, 1993, and DOCOMOMO, 2003, where she acts as Chair of the Mexican Chapter and of ISC/Registers. UIA Jean Tschumi Prize, 2011; Honorary Academician of the Society of Mexican Architects and of the Argentinean Academy of Beaux Arts. Principal publications: Arquitectos contemporáneos de México; Ricardo Legorreta; Luis Barragán, Enrique del Moral and Mario Pani.

IVETA ÄŒERNÁ

​

Ing. arch. Iveta ÄŒerná, a theorist and architectural historian, was born in Brno in 1963. Studied at the Department of Reconstruction and Protection of Monuments at the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology. For fifteen years she worked at the National Monument Institute as a guarantor for Brno. Since 2002 he has been the director of Villa Tugendhat. At the same time she is a member of the organizing committee of the World Foundation, Iconic Houses, which combines exceptional residential buildings of world architecture of the 20th century. Last February it received the Brno City Prize for Architecture and Urbanism in 2014.

NIVALDO ANDRADE

 

Nivaldo Vieira de Andrade Junior is an architect and doctor in Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. 

He has been Executive Secretary of the Pan American Federation of Architects Associations (FPAA). He was appointed as co-rapporteur of the 27th World Congress of Architects of the Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA), to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2020. He is a founding partner of the A & P Architecture and Urbanism office, with projects built in different Brazilian historical sites inscribed in the Unesco World Heritage, such as Salvador de Bahía, São Luís and Goiás.

JOSÉ GUTIERREZ MARQUEZ

Architect and co-founder of the studio Bruno Fioretti Marquez Architekten. Mr. Marquez has been guest professor, in many architecture faculties in USA, Swiss, Italy and Germany. Between 2007 and 2010 he has been invited professor in the chair for" Building within existing Architecture" at the Brandenburg University for Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. Since 2011, he is Professor for Architectural Space and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany.

RUTH VERDE ZEIN

 

Architect, PhD Professor of Theory and Design at Mackenzie University, São Paulo, Brazil. Member of CICA - International Committee of Architectural Critics. Member of DOCOMOMO International, coordinates Docomomo Brazil/São Paulo’s chapter. Former editor of Projeto magazine. Has participated in several seminars and given conferences and courses in Brazil and abroad. Has more than a hundred articles published and a dozen books on Brazilian and Latin American modern and contemporary architecture.

FERNANDO PÉREZ O.

 

Architect, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, 1977; PhD in Architecture from the School of Architecture of Barcelona, UPC, 1981. Academic at the School of Architecture since 1974, he was School Director between 1987 and 1990, and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts between 1990 and 2000. At the same time, he has practiced professionally as an architect, having been some of his works exposed and published in Chile and abroad. He has been Visiting Design Critic of Harvard University in 1990 and Universidad Simón Bolívar, and Professor at the University of Cambridge in 2000.
